Club location and Meeting times.

The West Kent ARS Club meetings are at the Bidborough Village Hall, which is on Bidborough Ridge, near Tonbridge, TN3 0XD. Click here to open a view of the meeting location in Google maps.

Club meetings commence at 8pm and are held on the 2nd Monday of each month. Non members are always welcome at club meetings though the club does appreciate a small donation toward costs. 

The club meets in the small hall that is located toward the bottom of the car park, which provides some off-road parking for those attending the club meetings.

Club Membership.

Membership is open to all with an interest in the hobby, whether licensed or not, and runs annually from the 1st of January till the 31st December.

The club has three levels of subscription; Full, Family and Student membership.

Club History.

The West Kent ARS began on the 7th of April 1948 led by Bert Allen MBE G2UJ, seen below operating G2UJ/P in a field day event of the West Kent ARS.

Other founding members were; Arthur Leonard G5KV, Ron Pluck G4AY (ZL3PD), Frank Barnard G4FB, Laurie King G4IB (photo below), Ernie Barker G5OQ along with G3BGU, G6ML and G6OB.
