Mark Brownfield G0EMZ Memorial Shield.

The following rules apply to the Mark Brownfield award for 2021.

1. The award period will be for contacts made between 0001 hours on 1 January 2021 and 2359 hours on 31 March 2021.

2. The award will be made to the person who makes two way contact with the greatest number of countries* using a single mode of the operator’s choice.

3. Any mode including data modes is acceptable but only one mode can be used on each entry. For data modes capable of automatic operation, only contacts which have been made with the operator in attendance and controlling the equipment personally can be included ie contacts made automatically with no involvement of the operator cannot be counted.

4. An operator may, if he or she wishes, make more than one entry using a different mode in each eg one entry for SSB contacts, another for CW contacts and a third for FT8 etc. However, modes cannot be mixed in a single entry.

5. Any frequency band or combination of frequency bands for which the operator is licensed may be used.

6. Entries must be made either using the form below or in an equivalent format showing all the information that is in the form below and in the same order.

7. In addition to the Mark Brownfield Memorial Shield there will be a further award to the leading operator first licensed from 1 January 2016 onwards,

8. All entries must be sent to to be received no later than 9 April 2021. This is so that an announcement of the winning entries can be made at the AGM which is scheduled for Monday, 12 April 2021.
