Amateur Radio Training Courses

The West Kent ARS provides training courses and has registered centres for conducting exams at each of the levels; Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced for those candidates wanting to study for an amateur radio licence.

Since starting training in 2012, the club has conducted numerous Foundation courses, helping many candidates obtain their Foundation licence, and have successfully tutored a number of candidates through two Intermediate courses and onto gaining their 2E0 callsigns, which permits them higher power and greater privileges.

Following the interest of some Intermediate licensed club members and other local amateurs in obtaining their Full licence, the West Kent ARS developed a short two day course which it ran, and was designed to augment self study that resulted in seven candidates obtaining their Full M0 licences.

Current details regarding training for each of the licence levels can be found through the next training course link below, or under the left hand side menu. However, anyone with a query regarding training or the exam program should email for more details.
